Edward Jones advisers support Toys for Tots

The Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Post Falls and Rathdrum area Edward Jones financial advisers have joined together to support the Pappy Boyington U.S. Marine Toys for Tots program by using their offices as drop-off locations for this year's toy drive.

Local residents may help needy children in the area by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy to any participating Edward Jones area office during regular business hours beginning Nov. 1.

"With the holiday season around the corner, we are all getting ready for the festivities," local financial adviser Peter Fitzmyers said. "And as this is the season of giving, now is a great time to remember the less fortunate in our community."

Cunningham invited to serve on Judges Panel

Dennis Cunningham of ActiveWest Builders was invited by the U.S. Green Building Council to serve on the Judges Panel for the 2012 National LEED for Homes Awards, to be announced at the Greenbuild Residential Summit in San Francisco on Thursday. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design.

As one of seven judges on this panel, he will review 50 projects and/or builder/developer nominations that have been submitted for seven categories - National Outstanding Production Builder, Affordable Developer, Affordable Project, Innovative Project (Project of the Year), Commitment to LEED for Homes, Multifamily Project, and Single Family Project.

Cunningham was the recipient of the National Outstanding LEED for Homes Production Builder award in 2011 for the active adult community, Meadow Ranch.
