WILSON CREEK - An investigation into unspecified allegations against district Superintendent Brad Smedley is still continuing, and Smedley remains on paid leave.

The Wilson Creek School Board met this week in executive session but did not take any action, said board chair Paul Friend. Canfield and Associates, the district's insurance carriers, is conducting the investigation. "I really can't say" how much longer the investigation will take, he said. Right now there's no timeline, he said.

Smedley was placed on leave Nov. 1; the school board has declined to specify the nature of the incident that led to Smedley's leave.
