POST FALLS - Two down, five to go. The Riverbend Urban Renewal District on the west side of Post Falls recently became the second URD to close in the 20-year history of Post Falls urban renewal. Five districts remain open. About 1,250 jobs have been created in the 330-acre Riverbend district, including Riverbend Commerce Park, since it was formed in 1997. The Jacklin Land Co., which oversees the commerce park and is the proponent of the URD, was recognized on Thursday by the city and urban renewal agency for its economic development partnership through the URD. The district includes Buck Knives, LCF Enterprises and other companies.
