Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 12 years, 2 months AGO
Dianne Faye McComb, 65, of Hayden, passed away Nov. 15, 2012, with her children and loved ones by her side. After her longtime battle with cancer, God chose to take her home to be with him. Dianne was born in Fedora, S.D., on June 23, 1947, to Robert and Leora Dahms.
She had two sisters, Donna and Dixie. In 1956, her family moved from their home in Fedora to Southern California where she received her education, graduating from Sylmar High School in 1965. While attending high school, she enrolled in cosmetology school at the age of 14, which led to her lifelong career which she loved.
In 1975 Dianne moved to Hayden where she chose to live and raise her family. She took pride in her gardening, her beautiful home that always had an open door policy, but most of all her loving relationships with family and friends. Dianne’s loving spirit had an impact on every life she came in contact with.
She is survived by her children, Michael Norman and wife Chris, Robert Gallegos and wife Michelle, Brian McComb and wife Maggie, and Chelsea Karlgaard and husband David; her many grandchildren; as well as the many others she called her own.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at New Life Community Church in Hayden. There will be a potluck reception at the church to follow.
The family asks in lieu of bringing flowers, please make any donations to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or The Shriners Hospital, www.shrinershq.org in memory of Dianne McComb. She will be in our hearts forever.
