Griffitts, a junior from Coeur d'Alene High and North Idaho College, scored 25 points for the Wildcats in an 83-82 win at UNLV on Nov. 13, hitting seven 3-pointers to tie a school record dating back to 1997.

Kyle Watne

Glacier Nationals hockey

Watne, a defenseman and 2011 graduate of Post Falls High, had three assists for the Nationals in an 8-0 win over the Vancouver Vipers in the Northern Pacific Hockey League on Oct. 26. The following night, Watne had two more assists in a 6-2 win over Vancouver. In seven games played, Watne has 10 points (one goal, nine assists) for the Nationals, a Junior A Tier III hockey team and are the newest expansion team within the league.

Stewart, a senior from Coeur d'Alene High, has a team-high 724 assists and 26 aces for the Saints (25-9), who won an opening round playoff match in the NAIA tournament 25-18, 25-19, 25-17 in against Jamestown College last Saturday in Helena to advance to the NAIA tournament in Sioux City, Iowa, starting next Tuesday. She has 1,617 assists and 71 aces in her career and is third with 347 digs (723 career) for the Saints, who qualified for nationals for the third time in school history and first time in back-to-back years after advancing in 2011.

Grossman, a junior from Lake City High, finished 22nd in the 5-kilometer NAIA championships in Vancouver, Wash., on Saturday in 18 minutes, 24 seconds. Grossman won her second straight Frontier Conference championship and was named an All-American for finishing in the top 30 at nationals.

Nick Fromm

Fromm, a senior from Lake City High and North Idaho College, scored 16 points in 19:14 for the Warriors (7-0) in a win over Northwest Christian (Ore.) on Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College. Fromm has started five of seven games thus far, averaging 9.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Legel, a freshman from Coeur d'Alene High, had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the Argos' (7-2) 73-69 win over Concordia (Calif.) on Saturday in Great Falls.
