MOSES LAKE - National animal supply store Petco and shoe retailer Famous Footwear are expected to move into the same space as Ross Dress for Less in the former Food Pavilion building on North Stratford Road.

There has not been any official confirmation yet from either Petco or Famous Footwear representatives regarding their new Moses Lake locations, according to Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Debbie Doran-Martinez on Tuesday. However, she said both companies have been soliciting requests for bids on building materials and projects specific to the former Food Pavilion building.

Petco's career website also currently lists about 10 job openings available in Moses Lake. The company is looking for sales associates, animal groomers, managers and animal trainers, among other positions.

Famous Footwear's webpage does not list any positions in Moses Lake.

Scott Huffman, of Read Investments, previously said Ross will share the building with two other national retailers.

He said Ross will occupy about 25,000 square feet of the building, while the rest will go to the two additional retailers.

Read Investments handled the first stages of demolition and renovation at the Stratford Road building, which took place in October.

Ross Dress for Less officials have yet to confirm an opening date for their Moses Lake store.
