Bankruptcy counseling group gets $10,000 grant

The Community Action Partnership of Northwest Montana received a $10,000 grant to provide legal counseling to clients considering bankruptcy or other alternatives related to financial difficulties.
The Partnership, based in Kalispell, covers Flathead, Lake, Sanders and Lincoln counties.
The grant, funded jointly by the American College of Bankruptcy and its foundation, will pay for a Community Action Partnership staff attorney to travel in Montana to provide pro bono bankruptcy and related advice to clients who qualify for assistance.
