Cardinals roll to easy win over Gonzaga club team

COEUR d'ALENE - Mikey Hope scored a game-high 17 points to lead the North Idaho College Cardinals past the Gonzaga club team 108-52 in a men's college basketball game at Rolly Williams Court.
"I was really happy with our effort," NIC coach Jared Phay said. "We talked about getting better each game and I thought we were better tonight than the last time we played them."
NIC won its previous matchup 80-54 in Coeur d'Alene on Nov. 13.
Jalil-Abdul Bassit scored 14 points and Kaj Sherman 13 points for NIC (8-1), which hosts Edmonds Community College on Friday at 7:30 p.m. to open the Bigfoot/Cardinal Classic.
