Dorothy A. Parr, 60, formerly of Libby

Dorothy Ann (Dee) Parr, 60, passed away on Nov. 13, 2012, at her home. 

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec 1, 2012, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Dee was born on Dec. 31, 1951, in Libby to David and Annie (Boothman) Gibbs. She came to Bonners Ferry and later to Eastport, Idaho. 

Dee worked at the Border Inn, Good Grief and Doc and Myra’s Café. In 1984 she went to work for Norman G. Jensen Customs Brokers and made her 28 year career with them. She was office manager at their Eastport and Sweetgrass offices for the last couple of years.

Dee and Evan Gatherers have been together since 1987, and had one daughter Christine in 1989. Dee loved her family and friends, loved potlucks and barbecue gatherings, berry picking and floating the Moyie River.

She is survived by husband Evan Gatherers, daughter Christine Gatherers, grandson Brodie Bustillos, brother and sister-in-law George and Irma Gibbs, half-brother Jimmy Williams, half-sister Trisha Tanner and many nieces and nephews.

Dee was preceded in death by her father David Gibbs, mother Annie Williams, step-father Frank Williams and sister Barbara Waddlington.
