Join the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future as they lead the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey of transformation and redemption in Wolfpack Theatre Company’s presentation of “A Christmas Carol” Dec. 4 and 5 in the Wolfpack Theatre at Glacier High School.

In this classic Christmas tale by Charles Dickens, stingy old Ebenezer Scrooge simply does not have any human kindness or sympathy and certainly no Christmas spirit. Enter the ghosts: Jacob Marley, Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future, who reveal to him his growing bitterness and meanness and the dire fate that awaits him if he does not change his ways.

With each visitation, Scrooge becomes a little more connected to his humanity and finally must decide what his own future will hold: death or redemption.

“Christmas Carol is such a classic tale,” said Greg Adkins, Acting 3 instructor and director. “The story resonates because we all fight the inner scrooge sometimes — it is so easy to get self-absorbed, it is a just a great reminder of what can be.”

The Wolfpack Theatre Company has brought a unique twist to this heartwarming, holiday story by setting the familiar tale in present-day Seattle.

“Seattle seems so relevant to everyone here in Kalispell, and it just seemed like a great backdrop for Scrooge,” Adkins said. “I hope the audience walks into the theater feeling the Seattle vibe, complete with [Pike Place] Market and the fish throwers!”

The family-friendly start time is 6:33 p.m.

Tickets for “A Christmas Carol” are $7 for adults and $5 for children, students and senior citizens, and are available at the school’s main office and Photo Video Plus.

The cast of “A Christmas Carol” includes Andrew Osler, Ashley Pitt, Bianca Hunter, Bryan Peterson, Bryce Tomas, Carli Dewbre, Emily Morison, Kaleb Turner, Keanna Blodgett, Keckeley Habel, Kyle Diereto, Mikayla Wilson, Neele Siemann, Richard Chavez, Ryleigh Finn, Shay Howell and Zach French.

Behind the scenes, Jaclyn Rensel, Grant Germann, Gracey Ortel, Spencer Gilsoul, Anika Fritz, Teesa Palmatier, Tanner Maroney, Ben Habel, Ian Wheeler, Teesa Palmatier, Kara Howell, Ashlee Buller, Josie Jolly and Coleman Zauner make up the stage, sound and lighting crew.
