Thompson snares four interceptions for Montana Tech

Columbia Falls High School alumni Nate Thompson had a good season as a defensive back for the Montana Tech Orediggers in Butte. The Orediggers also had a good year, going 8-3 overall.
Thompson snared four interceptions and ran one back for 40 yards against Rocky Mountain College this season. He also had two picks against Eastern Oregon.
He recovered one fumble and made 50 unassisted tackles and 18 assisted tackles. He also tallied two sacks, according to official NAIA statistics.
Thompson is a sophomore at Montana Tech.
As a Wildcat here, he set the single season rushing record in 2010 with more than 1,600 yards.
Thompson is the son of John and Alison Thompson. John is the assistant principal at Columbia Falls High School.
