SD 271: Very happy with board

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 12 years, 1 month AGO

To all of the residents of SD 271, PLEASE read. In the Nov. 17 issue of The Press, there was an article by Maureen Dolan “Coeur d’Alene Education Partnership goes public.” I hope that you read it. This partnership sounds to me like a liberal progressive group of citizens that are fed up with the current school board and want to take it back to the progressive era. I am very happy with the current board. Isn’t SD 271 lucky to have five fiscal conservatives that watch over for our money and the American principles? I would like to ask the partnership a few questions: 1) Is it CDAEP’s position that the judge should not have ruled that Wanda Quinn’s appointment was illegal? 2) Is it the position of CDAEP that IB and/or PYP be brought back into our schools? 3) Will CDAEP support those candidates for the school board that promise to bring back these IB programs? 4) Will CDAEP support candidates that are AGAINST these IB programs?

Even the editorial by Mr. Patrick asked to have diversity of the school board and all I can think of is the make up before, all progressives and I never ever heard anyone ask to have changes. As a school district that is more conservative than progressive, please unite and support the conservative candidates in the upcoming May elections. I do believe that CDAEP has a political agenda and will do, say, post anything to get their candidates on the SD 271 School Board.
