Clarence W. Jolma, 87, passed away in Kalispell with his family at his side. 

Clarence was born on Dec. 12, 1924, in Marengo, Wis., to Edward and Anna Jolma.

After high school, Clarence attended watch- and clockmaker school at Pittsburg Horological Institute, where he received his certification as a watch- and clockmaker. 

When World War II started, Clarence enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served in Northern Africa, Italy and France. He received the Bronze Arrowhead. 

Clarence married Barbara Heidegger in 1953. They were married for 58 and a half years. 

During his lifetime he worked as a welder, longshoreman, logger, watchmaker and rancher. 

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Glenn and Raymond; sister, Greta; and a baby granddaughter, Barbara Lynn. 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Hot Springs; children, Colleen and Ron Charlson, Thelma and Perry Rosenlund, Aaron and Dede Jolma, Twila and Rod Massie, Joyce and Gary Munger, Eric and Tara Jolma, Jennifer and Chuck Hoff, and Marcia and Brady Fellman; siblings, Mae and Bob Wirtinen, and Jean and Clarence Uskoski; 50 grandchildren and 112 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 4, at the Old Apostolic Church in Lakeside. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at the Old Apostolic Church in Lakeside; interment will follow the service at the Lonepine Cemetery in Hot Springs.
