MOSES LAKE - Anna Yarbro had seven aces and Rachel Verhage added six to the team total of 28 as the Moses Lake Christian Academy (MLCA) Lions turned back Easton in three sets (25-9, 25-18, 25-17) Monday.

The win over the Jaguars improves MLCA to 7-0 in league play and 8-0 overall.

"The girls have been playing well," coach Dean Spurbeck said. "We finally got Susan Timofeyev back in the lineup the last two games, and it's really made a big difference,"

Timofeyev suffered a torn ACL last season, but has fully recovered from the injury and is expected to help lead the charge to post season play.

The Lions had a rather easy match against Easton as the teams' offensive attack was hitting on all cylinders, recording 27 kills at the net.

"Easton is a young team with only six players turning out ... three of the being eighth-graders," Spurbeck said. "This match gave us an opportunity to play everyone, which will help us down the road come time for the playoffs."

MLCA is back on the court Thursday when the team hosts the Soap Lake Eagles. The game is set to tip off at 5:30 p.m.
