PRIEST RIVER - Lexi Posch had 10 kills and six aces for the Timberlake Tigers in a 15-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-20, 15-11 Intermountain League win against the Priest River Spartans on Thursday.

"Both teams came out flat," Timberlake coach Michelle Garwood said. "It was an early game (4 p.m. start) and the crowd was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. It was a hard game to play, but the girls fought through and got a big win over a good Priest River team."

Sydnie Malloy had 21 assists and four aces and Cheyenne Gibson 12 kills, three aces, three digs and two blocks for Timberlake (11-8, 5-1 IML), which travels to the Pea and Lentil Spikeoff on Saturday in Genesee.

With the win, Timberlake clinched at least a share of the IML title with Priest River (14-8, 4-1 IML), which has a match at Kellogg on Tuesday to conclude its regular season.

Later, Timberlake defeated Orofino 18-25, 25-10, 25-16, 25-17.
