SAUCE OFF: All donations appreciated

The Board of Directors, volunteer staff and the patrons of Cherished Ones Ministries would like to thank the vendors, artists and musicians who donated their time, talents, art and wares to the Cherished Ones Ministries Spaghetti Sauce off. We would also like to thank Diana Clark, who organized the entire evening - without you this event would never have made it off the ground.

Last but not least we would like to thank the members of the community who came out for the Spaghetti Sauce Off making our fundraiser a success; because of your participation we are able to continue to feed those in need within our community.

Please feel free to bring your family and join us for dinner any Saturday night.

ELDERHELP: Thanks for firewood help

On Sept. 20, United Way of Kootenai County hosted their annual Day of Caring in which many organizations and individuals from our community participated. ElderHelp of North Idaho, which is supported in part by United Way, participated with a hugely successful firewood project. Some 42 volunteers participated in cutting, splitting, loading and delivering 19 cords of free firewood to 24 seniors of limited-income in Kootenai County. Everybody in this community should give "thanks" to the capabilities and compassion of Caryl Johnson, Jessica Godderz, Kelly Sheffield and the United Way of Kootenai County Board of Directors. They make a difference.
