A Nashville-based country music star will perform live outdoors in downtown Whitefish on Wednesday, Oct. 10 for a special taping of one of network TV’s most popular shows.
Officials with the Whitefish Convention and Visitors Bureau say Sarah Darling will perform for one-hour on Central Avenue between First and Second Streets beginning at 9 p.m.
A segment of the undisclosed network TV show will be filmed at the concert. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 8:30 p.m. for the free performance and to participate in the filming of the episode.
Signs announcing the televised production will be posted on the street and those who appear on camera may need to sign an appearance release, officials note. The street closure will begin at 4 p.m.
"We invite the community to join us in supporting a major television production that will showcase our downtown and surroundings," said Jan Metzmaker, director of the WCVB. "Many thanks go out to the Whitefish downtown businesses and city staff who have helped us with the logistics for this special televised performance by a rising music star. The future exposure our town will receive from this TV shoot will be a tremendous benefit for our local economy."
The recent digital release of Darling’s upcoming single, “Home To Me,” marks the top selling digital single by a new female artist in more than a year. For more information, visit www.sarahdarling.com or Facebook.com/OfficialSarahDarling.
