MATTAWA - It was field goal night at Warden, and the last one, by the Cougars' Orlando Alba nipped Wahluke in South Central A Conference East high school football, 13-11

Alan Caro's 42-yarder gave Wahluke the lead, 11-10, in the third quarter. Alba's 46-yarder in the fourth period gave Warden the triumph.

Wahluke's season will continue at home Friday against unbeaten, No. 2-ranked Royal. The Knights have been winning by an average score of 47-7.

"They're very, very tough, but we're going to do everything we can to win," said Warrior coach Brycen Bye.

The Warden contest was close all of the way. The Cougars led 10-8 at the half. Wahluke's first score was a safety.

Good news for the Warriors was the return of running back Jaime Jimenez from injury. He delivered 107 yards on 20 carries.

Steven Machuca added 49 yards on nine carries. Alexis Anaya scored the lone touchdown from three yards.
