Boy’s soccer … was hammered by an undefeated Whitefish squad 11-0.

Senior keeper Austin Nagle had eight saves for Libby as the Bulldogs rolled. The Loggers drop to 4-5-3 and 2-3-3 in conference.

Libby will try to prolong its season with a game Tuesday against conference foe Bigfork in a play-in game.

The Loggers finished third in the conference and if they can top the Vikings, they will get an out-of-conference playoff game.

Girls soccer… lost to Whitefish 5-0, which compared to the 11-2 beating the girls took from the Lady Bulldogs in August, shows marked improvement.

Because Columbia Falls beat Polson over the weekend, Libby will get another shot at Whitefish for a play-in game.

With nine points, the Lady Loggers were two points ahead of Polson, and won out for the possibility of playoffs.

Rebecca Kyriss and Danni Hawthorne combined for 10 saves, and the Libby defense has improved immensely from where it was just a month ago.

The girls team now stands at 2-6-3 with conference wins at Bigfork and Polson and ties with Stevensville, Bigfork and Polson.

Libby will play at Whitefish on Tuesday.
