Jazz bands from across North America took over downtown Kalispell last weekend for four days of foot-stomping music.

The 19th annual Glacier Jazz Stampede took place Oct. 4-7 at the Red Lion Hotel, the Kalispell Eagles Club and at special Sunday morning services at downtown churches. The festival specifically promotes traditional jazz and Dixieland, America’s original art form, but it also presents numerous other styles of jazz.
