JUNIOR TACKLE
The Coeur d'Alene Packers defeated the Silver Valley Storm in sixth-grade play. Logan Lechot threw three touchdown passes - two to Mason Petersheim and one to Hayden Addams. Jonah Robinson ran for two touchdowns, and Zane Lettau and Bryce Harris ran for one each.
The Post Falls Vandals defeated the Liberty Knights of Spangle, Wash., 19-0 in a sixth-grade game played in Plummer.
Tyler Maddox scored two touchdowns for the Vandals and Carson Daughenbaugh scored once. Maddox and Terran Sharbrough had nine tackles each, Chandler Roberts four.
The Post Falls Ducks sixth-grade team beat the Lakeside Knights 42-6 in an eight-man game. Wyatt Shelly threw three touchdown passes and ran for a 22-yard score. Shilo Morgan had two TD receptions and one 13-yard TD run. Jake Rutherford had one TD reception and one 22-yard TD run. Kyle Young made three extra-point kicks. Casey Madsen led the defense with nine tackles, and Caleb Albert and Andrew Trump had seven each.
The Post Falls Panthers beat the Post Falls Vikings 38-0 in seventh-grade play.
Quin Bennett ran for one touchdown and passed for two. Kodie Kolden scored ran for one TD and caught one TD pass. Bailey Massender scored on a long TD run, Nate Buer caught a touchdown pass and Chase Cripps made four extra-point conversions.
Matt Vasquez led the defense with nine tackles. Sean Hirtle, Kodie Kolden, and Kellen Dyer each recovered fumbles, Kodie Kolden caused a fumble, and Chase Cripps had an interception.
Dylan Paine rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns as the Post Falls Seahawks won 32-6 in fifth-grade league play to improve to 5-0. Carey Sovereign rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown for the Seahawks, and Terrel Mitchell rushed for 55 yards. Eli Gondo led the team with 11 tackles, Paine had seven, Brennen Froelich four, and Mitchell had one sack.
The Raiders blanked the Coeur d'Alene Jaguars in fifth-grade play. Cooper Brown had two sacks for the Jaguars, and Jake Ramsrud, Ryan Rios and Mahlon Clark had one each.
Sam Matheson connected with Kyler Prendergast on an 89-yard touchdown pass for the go-ahead score as the Patriots defeated the Buccaneers 13-6 in a seventh-grade game.
The Coeur d'Alene Rams eighth-grade team traveled to Spokane's Dwight Merkel Sports Complex and defeated the Spokane Chargers, one of two Elite Pop Warner teams that have been playing in the Coeur d'Alene Junior Tackle League this year. Matt Duchow threw three touchdown passes - one to Willie Goodwin and two to Brody Lundblad. Duchow, Dawson Schramn and Cameron Chun each rushed for one touchdown. Anthony Noto paced the Rams defense.

Coeur d'Alene Sting under-9 boys (United): The Sting tied the Moscow U10 5-5 last Saturday. Talon Mitchell and Miles Jones each scored twice and Noah Janzen scored once.
Sting U11 boys (Inter): The Sting beat the Sandpoint Strikers 5-0 last weekend. Drake Prohaska and Garrett Noordam scored two goals apiece and Kyler Sorenson added one. Jared Hoffman and Chris Swider each had an assist. Jacob Overoye posted the shutout with two saves.
Sting U12 boys (Ajax): The Sting beat the Pullman Pumas 3-1 on Saturday. Cameron Johnson scored a hat trick, Greyden Lee and Josh Schriger each had an assist and Jason Lukes had three saves in goal.
Sting U11 boys (Bayers): The Sting defeated the Sandpoint Strikers-Giese 4-2 on Sept. 22. Goals were scored by Sam Anderson (2), Carter Gordon and Jacob Janzen with assists from Tyler Shaw, Jackson Henkle and Sam Anderson. On Sept. 29 the Sting defeated the Sandpoint Strikers-Herrera 6-2. Jackson Henkle scored two goals, Cameron Dance, Ty Shaw and Sam Anderson on, with assists from Jacob Janzen and Ty Shaw.
The Sting lost SSC Shadow-Romario 4-3 on Oct. 6. Ty Shaw, Jacob Janzen and Cameron Dance scored for the Sting. Sam Anderson had two assists, Jackson Henkle one.
Sting U12 girls Arsenal: The Sting is 5-0-0 midway through its season in the Puget Sound Premier League.On Saturday the Sting beat the ASE G00 Royals 2-1 with goals from Lexi Medina and Chloe Teets. Later that day the Sting also defeated the Cobra Rapids 1-0 with a goal by Erika Skindlov.
Kickin for the Cure: The Idaho Thunder U14 girls are playing the Thunder U13/14 B team in the Kickin for the Cure game today at 5 p.m. at River City Middle School.
The players are also baking goodies for a bake sale. All proceeds from the game and bake sale will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Sting U10 girls Real: The Sting lost 3-0 at Moscow on Oct. 6 in Northwest League play.
Sting U10 boys (Sunderland): The Sting beat the Spokane Pumas FC '03 Black 6-3 on Sept. 20 at Hayden Meadows. Connor Norris scored two goals and Christopher Swider, Max Anderson, Owen Smith, and Braden Bengtson each scored once.
The Sting defeated ASE (Howell) in Kennewick 7-1. Connor Norris scored a hat trick and Mason Paskett and Max Anderson had one apiece. Owen Smith and Noah Morton each had two saves and Max Anderson had one assist.
Sting U13 boys: The Sting beat the Shadow United (Denman) 3-1 last Saturday 3-1. Goals were scored by Gregory Deverna, Kieran Graham and Sean McKeeken.
In the afternoon, the Sting beat the GSMYSA St. Maries Elite 9-0. Marco Rojo scored a hat trick, Greg Deverna scored two goals, and Chance Mueller, Alex Garcia, Colvin Dunteman and Carson Noordam all scored once.
Sting U11 girls (Walker): The Sting defeated the Spokand Sabers 9-0 last Saturday. Jaizee Cessna and Geneva Bengtson scored three goals each, Lily Foster added two goals and Grace Anderson-Mosher scored once.
Lakeland Nighthawks U10 boys (Mooney): The Nighthawks defeated Moscow (Rezamand) 4-1 on Saturday in Northwest League play at Pullman High. Ethan Garitone scored two goals and Dawson Marsh and Wade Scott scored once each.
The Nighthawks beat Pullman 3-1 later that day at Pullman High. Ethan Garitone scored for the Nighthawks (5-0 and in first place in the Northwest League), and Dawson Marsh and Ammon Munyer each had assists.
Sting U13 girls (Tottenham): The Sting won two more games last weekend.
In a home game, the Sting shut out CB United 99 2-0 on Saturday. Megan Drake scored the two goals, Annica Wilson had an assist and Alecia Rollins posted the shutout in goal.
On Sunday, the Sting traveled to Kennewick and beat ASE G99 Royals (Cox) 2-1. Annica Wilson scored off an assist from Anna Hilbert. Megan Drake finished the ball off a PK from Bridget Rieken for the win.
Thunder U10 boys (Sater): The Thunder won its Puget Sound Premiere League game on Saturday, beating ASE 03 Erickson 11-0 at River City Middle School in Post Falls. Alex Moate scored a hat trick, Braden Ferreira, Aidan O'Halloran and Kyle Sater each scored two goals, Aiden Juntilla and AJ Curson scored once each, and Cody Carvajal had three assists.
Thunder U11 boys (Halseth): The Thunder shut out Lewiston 4-0 last Saturday. Alex Lycan and Gavin McLuskie scored the goals, Jalen Skalskiy had two assists, Jadyn Freeman one.
Thunder U14 boys (John): The Thunder defeated Moscow 2-1 last week. Nolan Mullen and Ronnie Keating each scored one goal, and Ronnie Keating and Nolan Mullen each had assists.
On Saturday, the Thunder lost 4-3 to Lewiston. Nolan Mullen, Ronnie Keating and Marcel Reznowski each scored once, and Noah Feusier, Kyler John and Braden Farrar had one assist each.
Thunder U12 girls (Siers): The Thunder beat the Spokane Foxes Green 4-1. Maddie Lasher, Bethany Gilmor, Gracie Hammond and Sarah Smith each scored once, and Maddie Lasher and Sarah Smith each had assists.
Thunder U14 girls (Foster/VanLeuven): The Thunder beat the Spokane Sabers Cargile 5-0 on Saturday. Melodee Skalskiy scored a hat trick, and Taylor Hammond and Cheyenne Kleiner each scored once. Emily Parson and Makena Pooley teamed for the shutout in goal.
On Sunday the Thunder beat FC Spokane 98 Wilson 4-0. Cierra Foster had two goals, both assisted by Cheyenne Kleiner. Baili Martin scored with an assist by Malia Remillard. The last goal was by Lily Little finishing an assist by Makena Pooley. Emily Parson earned the shutout in goal.
Today the Thunder will play the Thunder U13/14 boys in the Kickin for the Cure soccer game at 5 p.m. at River City Middle School in Post Falls.
SELECT BASEBALL
The Coeur d'Alene Venom 14-and-under team finished its regular season 9-1, defeating the Spokane Tigers in a doubleheader 27-0 and 14-4. During regular season play, the Venom outscored their opponents 136-36.
Jeff Dilday was the winning pitcher in Game 1. Brendan Delgado went 4 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs; Payten Zahnow had a double and four RBIs, McCabe Compton had a double and three RBIs, Hunter Hawkins went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, Gage Holmes was 3 for 4 with three RBIs and Niko Rossi had two hits and drove in three.
Chase Walk was the winning pitcher in Game 2. Brendan Delgado went 3 for 3 with two RBIs and two stolen bases, Hunter Hawkins was 3 for 3 with three RBIs, and Walk homered and doubled.
The Venom is the No. 1 seed for the championship tournament this weekend at Salk Middle School in Spokane. Round one is Saturday at 1 p.m., with the championship game Sunday at 1 p.m.
