Justice of Peace candidate facing assault charges

POLSON — Justice of the Peace candidate David Anthony Weinandy is facing charges for partner or family member assault from an arrest on Sept. 11.  

According to court documents, Weinandy was also charged with PFMA-Privacy and Communication for allegedly sending threatening text messages to his wife.

According to court documents, this is the second time Weinandy has been arrested on partner or family member assault,   the first was was his arrest last May.

Weinandy was also charged at that time for tampering with a communication device, by preventing his wife from calling law enforcement to report a criminal offense.

Weinandy will appear for omnibus hearing in Justice Court on Oct. 22  in front of Judge McNeel, with a jury trial commencing on Dec. 14.
