MOSES LAKE - Representatives of 16 colleges will be available to discuss transfer opportunities at the Fall Transfer Fair from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at Big Bend Community College.

The event is scheduled for the ATEC building, 7662 Chanute St. NW, Moses Lake.

The presentations are open to the general public, said college Counselor Max Heinzmann. "We would welcome any soul who cares to attend," he said, including high school students and district residents interested in attending college.

nity colleges since the 1960s, Heinzmann said, and was opened to out-of-state colleges last year.

It's a good opportunity for people who are thinking about pursuing a four-year degree to learn more about the options available and how to continue their research, he said.

Colleges scheduled to participate include the University of Washington and Washington State; the UW Bothell campus and the WSU campus in Tri-Cities; Central Washington, Eastern Washington and Western Washington universities; University of Idaho; Gongaza, Evergreen State College, Whitworth and Walla Walla universities; Northwest University, Western States University, Portland; Kirkland College and Heritage.

Two institutions from outside the United States will have booths, the International University of Nursing from St. Kitts, Bahamas, and the Academy of Interactive Entertainment Campuses from Australia.
