Vera Johnson, 83, of Libby

Vera Maxine Johnson, 83, of Libby, passed away on Sept. 25, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital after a brief illness.

Vera was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 21, 1929. While growing up she attended the Council B Iowa School for the Deaf.

Vera was married to Harry Bryan, who later passed away. In 1948, she married Frederick Johnson, and they were married for 55 years. 

Vera was a homemaker her whole life. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking, and all her family and friends.

Vera is survived by her son, Cliff Johnson, of Libby, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Glenn Bryan and Stella Bell Bush Bryan, husband Frederick Johnson, son Joe Johnson, daughter Ella Stravens, sister Zela Bryan Pascio and brother-in-law Kenneth Pascio.

Services will be held at a later date. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Schnackenberg-Nelson Funeral Home.
