The doors are open for women in the Democratic Party. The Montana Democratic Party has welcomed several women as candidates this election year. They are smart, experienced, and hard working Montana women. Their leadership has and will make a difference. These Democratic women will give families, children, and women a voice in the legislative process. Democratic women provide a vision of hope and stability for Montanans.

Meet the Democratic women candidates (state and local) in the 2012 election:

1. Kim Gillan, U.S. Congress candidate, is a problem solver…working for everyone.

2. Linda McCulloch, Secretary of State candidate (incumbent), has streamlined and cut red tape in her office.

3. Monica Lindeen, State Auditor candidate (incumbent), has recovered $190 million for Montanans who fell victim to fraudulent investment schemes.

4. Denise Juneau, Superintendent of Public Instruction candidate (incumbent) has put Montana schools on track with successful programs…resulting in exemplary test scores.

5. Pam Bucy, Attorney General candidate, has fought for public safety in both the courtroom and the halls of the capital.

6. Clara Mears-LaChappelle, Flathead County Commissioner candidate, will fight for responsible property rights and the right to have clean drinking water.

7. Brenda Talbert, House District 6 West Valley candidate, will make sure there is public participation in decisions about land use and natural resources.

8. Diane Taylor, House District 7 Evergreen candidate, will make sure education is properly funded and Montana’s agricultural/food producing lands are protected.

9. Brittany MacLean, House District 8 Kalispell candidate, will make sure families and their rights are not lost in the male dominated field of politics.

10. Nancy Lindsey, Senate District 6 Lake/Flathead Counties, will bring new perspectives and ideas to support her constituents…during a period of change.

These women come from all walks of life, both public and private backgrounds. They want honest government that has roots in neighborhoods and communities. They want women’s voices to be heard. They will not let corporate and out-of-state influence dictate their agenda. They will be in Washington D.C. and Helena for the Montana agenda.

Vote for Montana Democratic women candidates! They care for you and your neighbors.
