Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 12 years, 2 months AGO
Born January 11, 1931, in Everett, Wash., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 16, 2012, at Gritman Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Mom loved her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. Her longtime friends, friends from church, friends from Palouse Care Network blessed her life also. She looked forward to watching the Mariners play, no matter if they won or lost. When she was able, she loved going on walks with her little dog, Sparky, and enjoyed her large collection of teddy bears and salt and pepper shakers.
Mom was a dedicated Moscow Bears fan when her sons were playing in basketball, baseball and football.
Mom volunteered many hours at Palouse Care Network (formerly Carenet of the Palouse), taking care of all the baby clothes that were donated. She loved the people there, and continued there until the time of her death. The evening of the day she passed away, she was going to be presented a special award for her long service with Palouse Care.
Mom loved to camp and fish with the family and go hunting grouse with her husband John. Mom lived in Alaska for several years of her life, leaving Ketchikan in 1958, and moving back to the Moscow area, where she had lived before. Every other one of her kids were born either in Ketchikan or Moscow.
Mom was preceded in death by her first husband Milton Schmidt and her second husband, John Bussanich, and her parents Lucille and Ted Clarno.
Survivors are sons, Gil (Julie), Stan, Sandy (Lonnie), Diane and Dave. Her grandkids, Chad (Kallie), Jill (Jon), Mikyla, Heidi and Taylor. Great grandkids, Carson, Lucas, Titus, Bailey, Logan, Lincoln, and Hudson.
Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Moscow Church of the Nazarene.
All are invited to lunch following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Palouse Care Network.
