CLARK FORK - Sophomore Simeon Desautel had four rushing touchdowns and the Kootenai Warriors clinched the 1A Division II state playoff berth from the North Star League with a 64-14 rout of the Clark Fork Wampus Cats on Friday night.

Morgan Willms and Matthew Speelman both recorded a pair of TDs for Kootenai (6-3, 4-0), which will host Garden Valley in a quarterfinal playoff game next Saturday.

"They were able to control the line of scrimmage and we couldn't get off their blocks," Clark Fork coach Brian Arthun said of Kootenai. "They were too big and physical for us."

Zack Klein completed 24 of 35 passes for 300 yards and one TD, and Joey Hazinsky hauled in 13 catches for 157 yards for Clark Fork, which finishes the season 5-4, 2-2.
