Colton Cook booted a 36-yard field goal with 3 seconds left in the game and Southern Utah rallied for a 30-27 victory over Eastern Washington on Saturday at Cedar City, Utah.

Southern Utah (4-5, 3-3 Big Sky) trailed 27-20 entering the fourth quarter.

Brad Sorensen found Fatu Moala for a 21-yard touchdown pass with 7:01 left in the game to pull the Thunderbirds even.

Sorensen completed 33 of 43 passes for 392 yards and a TD, and Moala caught 10 passes for 112 yards and a TD.

Quarterbacks Kyle Padron and Vernon Adams combined to complete 35 of 50 passes for 404 yards and 2 TDs for Eastern Washington (6-2, 5-1).

Linebacker Zak Browning had 15 tackles and recovered a fumble for Southern Utah.

No. 21 Boise State 45, Wyoming 14: At Laramie, Wyo., an efficient offense and stingy defense kept Boise State on a roll, and the Broncos won their seventh straight by handily beating a team without its head coach.

D.J. Harper rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Broncos past Wyoming.

Harper scored on runs of 12 and 3 yards, moving him into fifth on Boise State's career rushing touchdowns list with 34. The Broncos (7-1, 4-0 Mountain West) gained 214 yards on the ground on 36 carries, averaging 5.9 yards.

Joe Southwick completed 20 of 28 passes for 198 yards and one interception and managed an efficient Boise State offense that converted 12 of 14 third downs and scored on all five its red zone opportunities.

"We were very balanced today," Southwick said. "I think we're just continuing to build, from top to bottom."

Boise State's defense held the Cowboys below their 25.6 scoring average, recorded four sacks and limited Wyoming to 106 yards less than its average.

Wyoming (1-7, 0-4) was without head coach Dave Christensen, who was fined $50,000 and suspended by the school for the week over his conduct after a 28-27 loss to Air Force on Oct. 13. Christensen confronted Falcons coach Troy Calhoun on the field, accusing the Falcons of faking an injury to their starting quarterback in the fourth quarter.

"This is a hard enough game - when you think everything's going correctly it's still really, really hard and so you throw a curve ball in like that, I'm sure that was very difficult on them," Broncos coach Chris Petersen said.

The Cowboys did stop one Boise State streak by becoming the first opponent in six games to score in the first half against the Broncos when quarterback Brett Smith ran for a score from 4 yards out early in the second quarter.

"That's a pretty good streak, huh?" Petersen said. "You know, it's going to come to an end sooner or later. We played hard and played good defense."

Montana 70, Idaho State 24: At Missoula, Mont., Shay Smithwick-Hann threw three touchdown passes to lead Montana past Idaho State.

Smithwick-Hann was 14 of 21 for 205 yards, with two interceptions. Joey Counts and Brett Kirschner each scored twice as seven different Montana players found the end zone.

Montana (4-5, 2-4 Big Sky) scored on its first two possessions of the game with a 9-yard Jordan Canada run and a 17-yard pass from Smithwick-Hann to Sam Gratton. The Grizzlies continued to roll through the first half, scoring four more touchdowns, including a 50-yard run by Peter Nguyen and an 80-yard fumble return by Jordan Tripp, to take a 42-10 halftime lead.

Kevin Yost was 36 of 56 for 323 yards and three scores for the Bengals (1-7, 0-5).

No. 19 Southern Oregon 52, No. 6 Carroll 49: At Ashland, Ore., Austin Dodge completed 27 of 38 passes for 526 yards and two TDs, leading Southern Oregon (6-2, 6-2 Frontier Conference) past the Saints (6-3, 6-2) in NAIA play.

Carroll's Dakota Stonehouse completed 19 of 30 passes for 233 yards and four TDs. The junior also ran for 195 yards and one score on 18 carries.
