Debra 'Debbie' May Angle, 57

Debra “Debbie” May Angle, 57, of Mullan, passed away Oct. 27, 2012, at the family home in Mullan, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 29, 1955, in Wallace. Debbie was the daughter of Charles J. and Karlene Kay (Petersen) Hanan.
Debbie has lived in the Silver Valley for most of her life. She attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1973. Debbie furthered her education in business and banking.
Debbie married the love of her life, Jim Angle on Aug. 29, 1999, in Reno, Nev.
Debbie worked in various offices and lastly as an auditor for the U.S. Bank for 20 years; she had worked at the Wallace and Coeur d’Alene branches. Debbie then served as manager of the Bank of Latah, which later became the American West Bank in Kellogg. She retired in 2011.
Debbie loved and was so very devoted to Silver Valley organizations and her community. She was a member and served on the council of the Osburn Baptist Church, past president and board member of the Historic Wallace Chamber of Commerce, past president and board member of the Historic Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce, a past representative of the North Idaho Tourism Alliance, a member and one of the founders of the Shoshone Cancer Resource Center, a member of the Silver Valley Relay for Life, a member of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and Debbie had volunteered the last few years on the Purple Spokes Ride fundraiser in Coeur d’Alene.
Debbie loved and enjoyed her family — her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a beautiful person who always gave 110 percent to everything she did. Debbie will be so very much missed by her family, friends and community.
Debbie is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Jim Angle of the family home in Mullan; five children, Ed (Laurie) Gutierrez of Los Angeles, Calif., Rick (Heather) Gutierrez of Seattle, Jennifer (Scott) Stovern of Pinehurst, Christopher (Lea) Angle of Enterprise, Ala., and Lori Angle of Silverton; 10 grandchildren; her mother, Karlene Jemison of Pinehurst; three brothers, Gene (Leslie) Hanan of Cataldo, Andy (Kathy) Hanan of Cataldo and Johnny and Kathy Maher of Tualatin, Ore.; and one sister, Kathy Hanan of Missouri. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Charles J. Hanan and her stepmother, Velma Hanan.
A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at the Mullan Athletic Pavilion in Mullan, with Rev. Paul Hegg officiating. A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Wallace Inn in Wallace following services.
