The bell, an anachronism in this age of wailing sirens and flashing colored lights, was removed by the firemen from the 1954 Mack fire truck, which they hope to replace soon, and mounted for permanent display in the fire hall. In bygone days, it was traditional to sound a siren as a warning signal en route to a fire.
