Logan Lindholm of Kalispell had the best round of the day, a 7-under 65 on the Championship 18, to move to the top of the leader board on Sunday at the 75th annual Labor Day golf tournament at Buffalo Hill Golf Club.

Lindholm shares first place with Shawn Tucker of Whitefish, who carded a 69, in what is turning out to be a very tightly bunched field.

Lindholm and Tucker head into today’s final round with 132 totals after 36 holes.

Grahm Schmaltz of Kalispell shot a 68, which puts him just one-shot behind the leaders.

First-day leader, Brad Grattan of Whitefish, struggled with a 78. He’s now seven shots off the pace.

In ladies play, Teigan Avery of Kalispell used a 9-over 77 to keep her hold on first place. The freshman at Glacier High School and the youngest winner this tournament has ever had, sits at 159, which is two shots ahead of Kali Gordon of Calgary, Alberta.

Gordon also shot 77 on Sunday.

Sarah Moodie of Vancouver, British Columbia, had the best round of the day on the Cameron Nine with a 4-over 72. She’s tied with Cindy Reimers of Missoula for third place. Both golfers are four shots behind the leaders.

Kalispell’s Mary Kruse, who shared the first-round lead with Avery, shot 83. She is currently tied for fifth place with former Labor Day winner Debbie Boreson of Kalispell and Janell Tanner-O’Neal of Bigfork.
