Classical quartet concert

The Glacier Symphony and Chorale will present the Fry Street Quartet on Friday, Sept. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Whitefish Middle School auditorium. The quartet hails from Logan, Utah, where they hold a teaching residency at the Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University. The concert will include Beethoven’s String Quartet in C Minor, Op. 18, No. 4 followed by Shostokovich’s String Quartet no. 7 in F-Sharp Minor, Op. 108 and Johannes Brahms’ String Quartet in C Minor Op. 51, No. 1. The quartet were prizewinners at the Yellow Springs Competition and the Banff International String Quartet Competition. Tickets are $18 adults and $15 seniors and free for youths through grade 12.
