Strong serving leads Wampus Cats in sweep of Badgers

CLARK FORK — Lyndsie Kiebert stuffed the stat sheet with four aces, five digs and three kills, leading Clark Fork to a straight set 25-23, 25-18 and 25-21 win over 3A Bonners Ferry on Saturday in nonleague girls volleyball at Clark Fork High School.

Annie Wurm added 13 set assists, Mariah Miller three aces, five digs and three kills, and Dimi Kailang three aces to lead the Wampus Cats (3-2).

“Our strong point was serving,” said Cats head coach Michelle Adams, who liked how her team responded after the North Star League tournament. “It felt like a lot more teamwork and better attitude overall.”

Allison Merrifield had five kills and four digs, Savannah Woods seven assists and Jaylee Foster three aces in defeat for the Badgers.

Clark Fork hosts Mullan tonight in the North Star League opener, looking to avenge a loss to the Tigers in the season-opening tournament.
