Golf teams bring some talent back

Dann Rohrer, in his 35th year of coaching, has high hopes for his boys and girls golf teams, and he has his sights set on returning to state.
The teams first headed to East Glacier, where the stiffest competition was from the weather.
“It was windy, about 50 mph, very difficult conditions,” Rohrer said.
Despite the howling winds, Jonny Cielak and Paige Bothman shot the lights out, shooting an 86 and 102 to lead the boys’ and girls’ teams respectively.
The second tournament was a bit difficult for the Loggers, as the girls placed third and the boys second of three teams in Columbia Falls.
Bothman and Lily Feeback shot 130 to tie for seventh and lead the Lady Loggers. Morgan Wilkins shot a 90 and finished second in the match.
“It’s a difficult course, but we had good conditions. We’ve got some young kids, nice kids who enjoy playing together,” Rohrer said. “We’ll get better.”
Along with Bothman and Wilkins, only two other golfers return from last year, Erin Jager on the girls’ side and Quinn Sullivan for the boys.
