Man accused of hitting woman

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a bartender at a U.S. 2 East establishment in Coram who said a man hit a woman while they were arguing and that he was concerned for the woman. The man was eventually arrested, and the woman, who was convulsing, was transported to the hospital.
A red Nissan pickup truck was located, abandoned, blocking a boat launch. There were beer cans all over the area. The truck had been stuck there since at least the previous night.
A property manager on Vista Lane in Bigfork reported a golf cart chained to a post on the property has been flipped over twice in the last week.
A resident of Second Avenue South in Hungry Horse reported police had responded to her home the prior night for men trespassing on the property, and she later went out and found someone had put a padlock on the door to her own storage building so she couldn’t get in. The woman said she believed the men had come back after police had left.
A motorist was reported for peeling out in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Montana 35, running a red light and driving into the parking lot of a bar across the street. It was later reported going in reverse all the way through the bar’s parking lot and leaving down Montana 35.
A man was seen running onto the back deck of a home on West Bluegrass Drive and then running away after he wasn’t able to break in the back door. A vehicle was then seen speeding away from the area.
A person tried to break into several storage units, including at least one containing items belonging to the Hockaday Museum of Art. When he was approached, he dropped a pair of bolt cutters. The suspect appeared to be bleeding from arm and neck lacerations. No items were stolen, but locks were cut off five or six units.
A man was arrested for driving under the influence on Montana 35.
A man and his son were assaulted by the owner of a property on Marquardt Lane.
A 1999 Ford Ranger was stolen after the owner left the keys in it on Montana 35 in Bigfork.
A boy was arrested on a warrant on West Cottonwood Drive.
A .30-06 was stolen from a vehicle on U.S. 2 East in Coram.
The Kalispell Police Department responded to an Eighth Avenue West home after the resident reported someone trying to get in the back gate before taking off through a neighbor’s yard. Further investigation revealed a dead dog hanging by a rope on the back of the fence. The dog had been reported running at large earlier in the day, and it is unknown if the dog was hung on the fence intentionally.
A motorist reported a man driving on Hutton Ranch Road who slammed on his brakes, turned and picked up a 2- or 3-year-old child and shook him several times, then slapped him, punched him with a closed fist, and picked him up and slammed him down on the seat.
A Fifth Avenue East North resident reported being bitten by a dog and going to the emergency room. The victim still had concerns about whether the dog had been vaccinated for rabies.
A man was arrested after officers responded to a non-injury accident on Fourth Avenue West.
A white 2003 Dodge truck was stolen from the parking lot of a restaurant on East Idaho Street. It was later located on U.S. 2 West.
The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of a 1-year-old bitten by a dog downtown near the high school. The incident was reported by a North Valley Hospital nurse after the child was brought to the emergency room.
A person was cited for possession of dangerous drugs during a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue West.
A Rapids Avenue resident reported having problems with an unwanted person coming on her property to pick up her son. She said she didn’t want her son hanging around him because he is “trouble.”
Whitefish Police officers made an arrest after responding to a report of a verbal disturbance on Waverly Place.
Lake County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a person for assault with a weapon after responding to a report of disorderly conduct on North Crow Road.
