Cd'A Resort Floating Boardwalk to host premiere of four boat models

Cobalt Boats will launch four new 2013 models which have never been seen in a special event this Saturday on Lake Coeur d'Alene.

The showing kicks off a weeklong visit by top executives of the Neodesha, Kan., company to Coeur d'Alene for their annual dealer meeting.

"This is the worldwide premiere of these four boat models - and it's happening right here on Lake Coeur d'Alene," said Craig Brosenne, general manager of Hagadone Marine Group. "This will actually be the largest on-water display in the company's history."

The Cobalt Worldwide Premiere Event is open to the public, to be held at The Coeur d'Alene Resort Floating Boardwalk on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Macy's 'Shop for a Cause' raises $4 million for March of Dimes

Macy's raised $4 million for March of Dimes and various charitable organizations across the country as a result of participation of customers nationwide in its 2012 "Shop for a Cause."

Now in its seventh year, "Shop for a Cause" is Macy's one-day-only shopping event created to support local and national charities' fundraising efforts. Macy's designated March of Dimes as its national beneficiary of proceeds of sales of "Shop for a Cause" savings passes in-stores and on macys.com. To date, Macy's Shop for a Cause has raised $46 million for thousands of charities across the country.

"'Shop for a Cause' represents a meaningful way for Macy's and its customers to give back to the community by raising funds for organizations that do important work locally and nationally," said Martine Reardon, Macy's chief marketing officer.

This year, more than 7,000 local charities signed up to participate. By purchasing $5 "Shop for a Cause" savings passes from these organizations, customers supported their favorite causes and received 25 percent off on regular, sale and clearance merchandise, as well as 10 percent off watches, furniture, mattresses and area rugs in the store all day on Saturday, Aug. 25, and were eligible to win a $500 gift card.
