Kalispell man arrested for gun show theft

A 25-year-old Kalispell man was arrested on a preliminary charge of robbery Saturday afternoon for allegedly stealing an unloaded firearm at a gun show held at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.
People at the gun show observed the theft and prevented the man from leaving until Kalispell Police arrived at the scene and arrested him.
Officers counseled the owner of a barking dog on Fourth Avenue East.
Items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Ninth Street East.
Saturday evening, someone reported a drunk man standing in the street and yelling at cars at Fourth Avenue West and 11th Street West.
A Third Avenue West resident told police that a man stopped at the house Friday night and gave a child candy. The man was reportedly driving a gold or silver van and said, “Hi, I have some suckers, I give them to kids.”’
A woman on Mountain View Drive told police there was a man with a .45 caliber pistol at her house threatening to shoot her husband. Her husband was not home at the time.
A car on Ninth Street East was damaged when someone tried to break in.
Early Sunday morning, a caller told police that her purse, two wallets and a checkbook were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on 10th Avenue West. Another caller later reported finding a purse on his lawn and asked police to come get it.
A wallet and an iPod were taken from a locked vehicle on Bluestone Drive.
A woman said her purse was stolen from a vehicle on Airport Road and later returned without a bunch of items that were in it.
Saturday, a girl riding her bike at the high school asked Columbia Falls Police if she could defend herself against another girl who had flipped her off. She told police she is tired of it and wants to do something.
A teacher reported seven or eight kids throwing rocks at a school. An officer talked to the kids.
Ronan Police arrested someone for assault Saturday evening.
