George and Audrey Thayer, of Rathdrum, will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Golden Spike Estates Clubhouse in Rathdrum from 1-5 p.m. The family would like to invite all friends to drop in and join the celebration. Havens-Estep

Ron and Sandee Estep, of Spirit Lake, are proud to announce the marriage of their son, Craig to Jennifer Havens. Jennifer is the daughter of Michael and JoAnne Havens of Billings, Mont.

The couple was married June 16, 2012, in the Billings, Mont., LDS temple with a reception that followed. A reception was also held on June 18, 2012, in Post Falls.

Craig is finishing a degree in accounting at Utah Valley University. Jennifer works as a Speech Language Pathologist at the University of Utah hospital. The couple resides in Salt Lake City and will honeymoon abroad in October.

Daisy Nicole Griffin was born Feb. 15, 2012, in Coeur d'Alene to Janis (Hill) Griffin and John Griffin of Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. Siblings are Whitney, 12, Bradley, 9, Ashley, 7, Henry, 2 and Johnny, 1.

Zachary Matthew Heater was born at 9:11 a.m. Aug. 9, 2012, to Christina and Benjamin Heater of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 10 lbs. 2 oz. and was 21 inches long. Sister is Jessica. Brother is Caleb. Maternal grandparents are Michael and Vicki Contini. Paternal grandparents are Bob and JoLinda Heater.

MILITARY

Navy Airman Recruit Reis M. Ward, son of Lisa M. Hernandez of Coeur d'Alene and Mitchell C. Ward of Coeur d'Alene, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

During the eight-week program, Ward completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness.

Ward is a 2007 graduate of Lake City High School in Coeur d'Alene.
