Glacier National Park’s Inside North Fork Road opened to vehicle traffic from Camas Creek to Logging Creek late last month.

Park crews made repairs to a washout at Logging Creek and other repairs. The oldest road in the Park offers access to several trailheads and offers an alternative route to Polebridge.

The road is gravel and narrow, and travelers are urged to carry a saw in event they encounter a downed tree. The road will remain open until the first snows of the year make it slick and impassable to two-wheeled drive vehicles. It accesses popular ski routes in the wintertime.
