Bigfork resident, John Hampton, 49, pleaded guilty in Flathead District Court to a reduced charge of felony drug possession on Aug. 30.

Hampton was originally charged with felony criminal production or manufacture of dangerous drugs after police found 61 marijuana plants and 33 ounces of dried marijuana inside his home on March 13.

The charges were reduced as part of a plea deal, in which the Flathead County Attorney’s Office agrees to seek a one-year deferred sentence for Hampton.

His sentencing hearing is scheduled for Oct. 10.
