Born in Noel, Mo., on Aug. 1. 1936, and passed away on Sept. 12, 2012, in Post Falls.

Gene worked many years for Potlatch, Kaiser, Boeing and as a carpenter/roofer.

Dad loved to hunt, fish, garden and cook. His jellies and jams were the best. Gene enjoyed taking his children and grandchildren huckleberry picking. He will be greatly missed.

Gene is survived by ex-wives, Sandra and Jackie; children, Sheila, Kay, Betty, Dean, Brenda, Gina, Taron, Bron, Darmon and Destin; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth.

Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Rimrock Cemetery in Hayden.
