Joel Pearl receives Certified Residential Specialist Designation

Realtor Joel Pearl was awarded the Certified Residential Specialist Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists. Realtors who receive the CRS Designation have completed advanced courses and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate.

Fewer than 31,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the credential.

"Home buyers and sellers can be assured that CRS Designees subscribe to the strict Realtors code of ethics, have access to the latest technology and are specialists in helping clients maximize profits and minimize costs when buying or selling a home," according to a press release.

David Bobbitt to extend term as bank's chairman of the board

Pacific Coast Banking School has invited David P. Bobbitt, chairman and chief executive officer of Community 1st Bank, to extend his first term as chairman of the board for two more years.

At the board's request, he has agreed to serve until September 2014.

Bobbitt has provided support for the nonprofit serving as a member of the board since 1995 and chairman this past year. He is a 1981 graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School. Bobbitt currently serves as a board member and past president of the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce and board member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle.

Bobbitt has more than 40 years in the banking industry beginning his career in 1969.

Mr. Bobbitt, dedicated to the banking industry, has served in several positions in banking associations, including past president of the Idaho Bankers Association, past board member of the Idaho and Oregon Bankers Association, and vice chair of the America's Community Bankers Commercial Lending Committee.
