Idaho budget chief announces resignation

BOISE (AP) - The budget chief for Gov. Butch Otter will be stepping down at the end of the month with plans to return to the private sector.
Wayne Hammon is resigning on Sept. 28 to become executive director for the Idaho Associated General Contractors.
Hammon has served as administrator of the Division of Financial Management for more than five years, a stint longer than any of his predecessors.
Hammon notified Otter of his plans in a letter dated Sept. 16 and said it's simply "time to move on."
