Kalispell rocker gives free concert
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 12 years, 4 months AGO
Kalispell-based recording artist Luke Dowler will launch his latest project, “Polarized,” Sept. 28 at the Red Lion Hotel Kalispell ballroom.
Released in partnership with Dream Records/EMI, the album will be available for purchase the night of the concert and online through iTunes, Amazon.com and www.lukedowler.com, as well as regionally surrounding tour dates and at live performances.
“Looking around at current events, listening to people talk, it seems like we are so polarized,” Dowler said in explanation of the album’s title. "We like to demonize things that we don't agree with. With the elections coming up, more than ever I want this rock-and-roll record to be a reminder to show a little love and respect to each other."
The Sept. 28 show is free and starts at 7 p.m.
“We wanted to throw a party to thank our local fans and hopefully win some new ones,” Dowler said of why he wanted to offer a free concert in Kalispell. “We have been at this for a while now, and we want to make this a night to remember."
Dowler and his band will be joined by Kalispell songwriter Mike Murray and the Izzy Ray Band. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Free tickets are available at Colter Coffee and the Red Lion Hotel up until the day of the concert.
VIP tickets are available for $10 and serve as a $5 discount on Dowler’s new album the night of the concert, as well as give access to VIP seating. Catered hors d’oeuvres are provided for VIP ticketholders. To get these tickets, call 270-5649.
