Woman seeking 'five large men'

A Clear Springs Trail resident in Somers contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to request the help of “five large men” after her horse became stuck in mud.

A man reported he was tired of his neighbor’s German shepherd coming over and attacking his dogs, which had happened three times. He threatened to kill the dog and bury it in the backyard.

A woman was arrested after deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity at a casino on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

A person was arrested after deputies responded to a report of a man beating his wife on Montana 40 West in Columbia Falls.

A Swan River Road resident in Bigfork reported there was a dead cat on her lawn that her neighbors had killed and put there. It was the latest incident in an ongoing problem with her neighbor’s dog.

A Welf Lane resident requested a deputy contact him so he could talk about a block party he was planning and make sure everything was legal.

A man being booked into the Flathead County Detention Center was found to have a marijuana leaf in his possession.

Someone shot an arrow, likely from a children’s bow, into the side of a Bierney Creek Road house in Lakeside.

Several items were stolen from unlocked vehicles on Shady Lane, where a bicycle was also stolen.

A resident reported a checkbook stolen and said someone was writing checks out of it.

A gun was stolen from a vehicle on Eckelberry Drive in Columbia Falls.

A guitar was stolen from a vehicle on North Juniper Bay Road in Somers.

A car was keyed on Grand Drive in Bigfork.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Russell Elementary School after a fire alarm was triggered by smoke coming from an oven in the teacher’s lounge, where someone had burned food.

A woman working for a property management company contacted the Kalispell Police Department after finding drug paraphernalia in one of the apartments the company was renting out on Two Mile Drive. The woman was in the unit to check the bathroom fan.

A North Main Street resident complained about a group of youths listening to a car radio next door with very loud bass that was shaking her entire house. She had asked them several times to turn it down. Officers spoke with the father of the car’s owner.

Officers arrested three boys after responding to a large fight on Seventh Street West.

A security guard confiscated marijuana from a person at a Sunny View Lane business.

A woman was reported going through other people’s mail on Seventh Street West.

A satellite radio was stolen from an unlocked truck on Woodland Avenue.

A car was keyed on Burns Way.

Columbia Falls Police officers arrested a person during a traffic stop on Darlene Road.

Someone used a ladder to get to a window on a Ninth Street West home, where the person removed the screen and opened the window to gain access to the house. Nothing appeared to be missing, but plants from inside were moved outside.

Tools and other items were stolen from a Ninth Street West store.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of a verbal disturbance on Lacy Lane.
