Elsie Dondanville, who celebrated her 101st birthday in Hot Springs on Friday, signs copies of the new children’s book “Moose Country School,” which is based on her life as a teacher. Dondaville began teaching 83 years ago.

PLAINS – The Koo-Koo-Sint fires have merged after 25 to 30 mile per hour winds, 95-degree weather and 15 percent relative humidity came together to create perfect conditions for the fire to grow.
