OTHELLO - Five men were transported for medical care Friday afternoon after a vehicle wreck in Othello.

Adan Ayala Godinez, 20, of Othello, was crossing state Route 26 at First Street just before 3:30 p.m. Friday.

At the same time, Andres J. Castro, Jr., 24, of Moses Lake, was headed east on the highway. The two vehicles struck in the road.

Washington State Patrol troopers said Castro and his passenger Ramiro Alvarez, Jr., 34, of Moses Lake, reported injuries but declined medical attention.

Ayala Godinez was transported to Othello Community Hospital, along with four passengers: Enedino Ortiz Vidal, 22, of Othello, and Joel Justo Ramos, 22, Noel Justo Ramos, 22, and Reynaldo Justo Ramos, 24, all of Moses Lake.

Patrol reports stated all parties involved were wearing seat belts and that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash. Both vehicles were considered total losses and towed from the scene. Ayala Godinez was cited for failure to yield.
