YAKIMA - Big Bend Community College ended its five game losing streak with a three set (25-19, 25-18, 25-16) road win over Yakima Valley Community College Sept. 19.

Katie Demarest led the offensive attack for the Vikings with three aces. McKall Miller added 24 assists and Katelyn Riste finished with 31 digs in the winning effort.

BBCC looked to make it two wins in a row as they hosted the Walla Walla Warriors Sept. 21, but dropped the match in three sets (25-10, 25-19, 25-10).

The loss drops BBCC to 1-3 in NWAACC league play and 2-13 overall.
