Game wardens are investigating a series of poaching incidents this month that have left several deer shot dead and left to waste in areas around Whitefish.

Officials say suspects likely killed the deer in the early morning hours beginning Sept. 5 and for several other days during the night hours. Wardens say the suspects will likely have knowledge of the areas of Lodgepole, Twin Bridges, Farm to Market and Voerman roads and other back roads in those areas.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-TIPMONT.
