ANACONDA — The Polson girls golf team won their second straight Class A state title on Saturday at Old Works Golf Course.
The Pirates, led by third-place finisher Jaylin Kenney, 80-90—170, turned in a 722 team total for two days to finish well ahead of the field. Laurel, 779, was second, and Whitefish, 786, third.
Christal Tokash of Livingston and Erin Tabish of Whitefish tied with 165 scores, but Tokash won medalist honors in a playoff on the second hole.
Polson’s Nicole Clairmont finished sixth, Anna DiGiallonardo was seventh and Peyton Anderson eighth.
Art Doorn finished second to help the Whitefish boys to a runner-up finish.
Doorn, 75-80—155, finished one shot behind Bobby Frank of Sidney.
Belgrade won the team title, 647, followed by Whitefish, 658, and Miles City, 676.
